In a statement released on the ‘Euphoria’ star’s death, it said, "Last week, he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”

The family paid their tribute to the 25-year-old star, “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence." It started with, "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”

How did Angus Cloud's father Conor Hickey die?

The official death certificate of Angus Cloud's father, Conor Hickey revealed that the latter was suffering from stage four lung cancer. The 65-year-old man died just a few weeks before his son's death, with whom he shared a close bond, reports .

Hickey died in his homeland, back in Ireland in May. Angus remembered his father over social media and posted a picture of him, with the caption, “miss u breh.”

As per media outlets, Angus's mother called 911 around 11.30 am on July 31, after he didn’t have a pulse due to a ‘possible overdose.’ Meanwhile, the cause of death is still not determined as the investigation continues. Conor Hickey was married to Lisa Cloud, and they had three children, the eldest child Angus, followed by twin daughters Molly and Fiona Hickey.

Mick Gleeson, a family friend, talked about Cloud's emotional struggle, "He was just so traumatized that he could not attend. He was in a very bad way and in total shock. He was in such a fragile state and struggling with the death of his father." He added, "He was like a rabbit caught in the headlights and was just unable to come to terms with his loss. I sat down with him and said he was now the man of the family, and he just could not handle it. He was a broken man."

"I think coming back to his father's place of birth and all that contained was just too much for him. He could not face the final goodbye to his father," said another friend.
