Roger Aguilera is the truck driver involved in a deadly crash in Colorado in 2019 that caused the death of four people. 

Roger Aguilera has been sentenced to 110 years in prison. His mother and supporters broke down in the courtroom during the hearing on Monday.

His attorney argues that his client does not deserve to die in prison even though the sentence may be lawfully correct. 

Roger Aguilera Deadly Crash In Colorado- Details On The Accident 

A deadly crash happened in Colorado in April 2019 when the truck Roger Aguilera was driving lost its brake. As a result, it exited the mountains, bypassed a runaway truck ramp, and ran into stopped traffic near the Colorado Mills exit eastbound on Interstate 70, killing four people. 

He told the investigators that he lost control of the semi-truck brakes near Denver. However, in October, he was indicted on more than 23 offenses, including vehicular homicide.

According to ABC7, "the 23 other charges are; six counts of assault in the first degree - extreme indifference; 10 counts of attempt to commit assault in the first degree - extreme indifference; two counts of vehicular assault - reckless; one count of reckless driving; and four counts of careless driving causing death".

The family members of the four victims gave statements against him. They mentioned how they had lost their loved ones because of his carelessness. They argued that forgiveness does not mean letting the convicted get off the hook. 

Tears flowed down Roger's eyes as he requested them to forgive him. He is also a young man at 26 with a wife and a kid. 

Truckers Demanded Justice For Truck Driver, Roger Aguilera 

Truckers have demanded justice for the truck driver, Roger Aguilera, after the judge sentenced him to 110 years in prison. The truckers who were in his support in the court said that they also have experience driving the truck, and Aguilera could not have done anything if the brakes were lost.

The accused argued the same thing, but video footage shows that he could have used the runaway truck ramp which he passed. Moreover, many netizens also said that the sentence is too much even though the accident took away four lives because it was not intentional.

However, he had to sentence him based on the laws. In contrast, the defendant's attorney still argues that the punishment may have been given according to law but not what his client deserved. He further adds that there needs to be a change in the law itself.
