Mike Maddux, born August 27, 1961, is a former Major League Baseball pitcher and coach who played 15 seasons between 1986 and 2000. He has played for several Major League Baseball teams, including the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, and Montreal Expos.

Maddux later succeeded in MLB coaching following his playing career, focusing on pitching and receiving high accolades. He also served as the Brewers’ pitching coach from 2003 to 2008, when he helped the team improve its performance and postseason success.

Mike oversaw the Texas Rangers’ pitching staff from 2009 to 2015, guiding them to the World Series in 2010 and 2011. He was the Washington Nationals’ pitching coach from 2016 to 2017. Maddux’s mastery of pitching mechanics and strategy garnered him considerable respect throughout his coaching career.

Now, I am grateful for the opportunities and contacts that my alopecia has provided. It has proven to be far more of a blessing than a curse, even though I took far too long to realize it.

She not only inspires her father but also many other people who suffer similar challenges. Speaking of her personal life, she married Michael Zaring on May 2, 2021.
